  • Cost (in gas) of commute home from work: $2.34
Slurpee at 7-11 on the way home from work: $1.69
Grocery odds 'n ends for dinner on way home: $9.98
Falling asleep at the wheel while waiting for the turn signal to turn green, and with a long line of cars behind: priceless.

  • There is a community scrapbook in Thailand from 1993 that I made an entry in.... I wish I had that book!

In July of 1993, a little town called Ubonrachathani opened up its very first convenience type store: a 7-11.  It was historic!  There were very few stores like that in Ubon at the time.  I waited in line for the grand opening and rushed in to be the very first visitor at the slurpee machine.  I bought a cherry slurpie (mixed with coke slurpie) and later cut the cup in half so I could tape the cup into the scrapbook. Ahhhh... memories.
