I always took you for being a leader of the gang, not just one of the guys hanging on the side...
Andrew, I appreciate you, and b/c you assumed I was attacking people simply for their dress, then you did, in fact, misperceive what I was saying.
I could not agree with you more on the well-arranged dress and materialistic dress of persons who are hypocritical to the core-- those who make physical appearance of reverence but are snakes underneath. REALLY! I could not agree with you more. I could have written an entry on that too. I do not presume to know any man heart. Ie never claimed that. But you cannot deny that what a person really is on the inside WILL be shown by what he says, what he does, and how he presents himself--- whether you like it or not, the way we dress does speak as to our character. You may not like that, but it true. I know you have your reasons for reacting so strongly, but I am not those people. You should know that too. Somehow, though, I don think that you would walk into a church to worship with holey jeans and flip flops. As Christians, we ARE to be dignified (and I know you know that).
Just as a person shows himself to be UNDIGNIFIED by his dress, a person can express DIGNITY by his dress. In no way do I agree that dress is the sole factor. Never would I agree to that. I believe it still a factor, though.
I understand the cautioning of Timothy in his book and in that particular chapter about the excessive adornments and the lure of wealth. You may not be aware of this, but I actually read the Bible everyday and study it and try my best to apply it?in all aspects of my life--appearance, expressions, my treatment of others, etc. (I not saying I perfect saying I sincerely try my darndest) etc. A TRUE Christian is a Christian as a whole.
I find it ironic that you question me with, o you intend to know what occurs inside the minds and hearts of others? Do YOU know what is heartfelt and what is not??and then you say at the end, et's look at the hearts of men.?nbsp;
I know that you weren attacking me as I am not attacking you either. Ok?
By the way, you wouldn't make a very good mafioso.
Rock and roll, dude. Rock and roll. Que Pasa, Coolio?
Jake

OOO! I am overcome with a wanting to lick your stomach.
All time best on screen kiss is from Cast Away, in my opinion... Hanks and Hunt in the rain as he is leaving... sigh. Forbidden love... what a tragedy.

Which one is you?
j/k you have some skills worth respecting dude.

and just reading over the one lengthly comment... i go to worship service wearing whatever i want. as long as i'm not looking skanky in what i wear... i don't feel comfortable putting on dresses and hose and whatnot, and i like to feel comfortable when i worship. i don't thik that makes me sloppy, or disrespectful.
