Frivolity And Excess: Because I Can
Today was my day off. Inherently, this implies several things: sleep, eat, and doing whatever I want to do, simply because I can. Today, I woke up at 3:25. For my European and military friends, 15:25. I realize this sounds excessive. And that's because it is! However, in my (unnecessary) defense, I'd like to point out that I went to bed at 5:30. So...a little more reasonable, non? A little.
Shortly after, I met Virginia and Sally at Kamikaze Corner. This is an intersection somewhere between my apartment and the school. This is where I purchased refreshments for the coming hardships of shopping, and then we caught a taxi; we were on our way.
Asian countries (I've been to five) all seem to have one thing in common: outdoor markets with everything imaginable, and in every range of quality and price. Included in "everything" is fake Louis Vuitton (Jodi--think Champs Elysees!), blue fur, pots, pans, clothing, birds, live eels, severed pig heads (complete with swarming flies), and yes, the rumours are true: dog meat. I got a few pictures, but the dog meat lady looked menacing. I know that she knew I disapproved perhaps? And yet I don't. So I didn't get a picture. For shame--that will come later in the year, to be sure.
Any good day of excess requires food and drink. Below? Dinner. (Note: Beth and Claudia...click here. This must have been a popular flavour to be all gone.)
Then off to Say Department Store. The purpose of this was one-fold: because we could. Here, I purchased season one of 24. A relative oldie, but nothing relative about it being a goodie. Additionally, found a Korean edition of Who Moved My Cheese? Inspiration comes in all languages. Errrr....
Then...things wind down. A taxi ride home turns into a taxi ride to Home Plus for sticky chicken--why? because we can--and then another taxi ride home, where we down both said chicken and an episode of Alias.
Hope this finds all that I love, well. If you think I may miss you, I probably do!
Love to all.....Drew.

yaaa woah. cool.
so, on the cappuccino topic, do you free pour or scoop it? you should free pour.
oh my dear girl...free-pouring is the only way.?not free-pouring is like someone claiming they make good hummous...only to discover that they used peanut butter instead of tahini.?a CRYING shame.
