The weeks, months and year following September 11, 2001, America and world alike vowed: We Will Not Forget.
But. . .I think we have.
I love a line in New York City--a Counting Crows song, and named appropriately for my point--that goes: "It's good for everybody to hurt somebody once in a while..." Well, watch this video that I got from Christina's site, and it may just hurt you all over again. I hope it does.

In other news, Finland beat the US in the Hockey World Cup semi-finals. Sorry, America.

Andrew, I agree. I think the world has forgotton. At the beginning our fear and pain was acted out in righteous anger. Now, many have turned their anger in the wrong direction, and are missing the whole point of going to war. They don't even call this a war. They gloss over atrocities like Beslan, focus on military service and hurricanes. I don't know what kind of news you see where you are, but I wonder if there is anywhere in the world that still shows the pictures. They forget that the US is not who declared war.

i spent my weekend away praying for the friends and famil who lost loved ones. putting myself in their place, i could imagine feeling really frustrated with myself like .... "will i ever get over this?!" because i think no, i don't think i ever would.
