  • On Saturday night, I had a strange dream.  I've never before had a dream quite like this one.

I dreamt that I was married.  My wife and I had been married for one year, and on this particular night, we were celebrating our one-year wedding anniversary with family and friends.  I remember coming through a doorway, where everyone was waiting, and feeling so content about the whole thing--about the whole situation: marriage, family and friends.

Here's the kicker: I saw her face.

What to do with that? Oh, what to do.

Everyone's into quotes these days.  So here's one from me (with a little help from Adam Duritz):

"It's good for everybody to hurt somebody once in a while....the things I do to people I love, shouldn't be allowed."

What do you think about this?  Open for discussion....

  • It was me, wasn't it? I knew it!

.... and don't you know that you're never supposed to see the face in those sorts of dreams? talk with your dream coordinator, he may need some "motivation" (i.e., hazing).

  • its like that older (non adam duritz) saying "you always hurt the ones you love the most", but why is that?why do we do that? its like we feel that simply BECAUSE we love them so much, we have the right to be unkind and cruel to them, maybe its because we think that they will automatically forgive us.

what did her face look like? that's weird, i've had many many wedding dreams but never have i actually SEEN a face. i just always have dreams about my teeth slowly disenegrating in my mouth.

  • Pleeease call me!

  • "In a bullet proof vest/ With the windows all closed/ I'll be doin' my best..."

  • Thats pretty crazy.  We're all thinking it, so I'll just be the one to say it, "was she hot?"

  • i really, really, really like your new look.  it's really great.  i really, really like it.

so what did you feel when you saw her face?  were you surprised?  do you think it could be possible in real life?  did it reveal some underlying feelings?  was it completely arbitrary?

  • Yes, I did see "her" face...but it was noone that I recognized...or only vaguely recognized?  Like...perhaps it was several faces that my brain somehow combined into one?  Definitely weird!

To answer you, rejcel...no, I was not surprised in my dream...but very surprised when I awoke!  It seems unlikely that this dream meant anything...but I just thought peeps would find it interesting
